HEXA’s Certificate
HEXA Material Technology Co., Ltd. vigorously develops innovative production processes which were aimed to mitigate the emission of Green House Gas so as to meet the regulations from governments and the certificates. We had purchased the renewable energy via the platform of “National Renewable Energy Certification Center”(https://www.trec.org.tw/en#). The renewable energy is consumed as the production of our recycled material, i.e., HEXA Polyether Polyol. For long term strategy, HEXA Material Technology Co., Ltd. will continue to purchase the renewable energy for the production use. In addition, we’ll invest the solar panel at the roof of the production site to reduce the demand for the fossil fuel.

With the support from ITRI, we calculated the carbon footprint of our product “HEXA Polyether Polyol” as well as the final product “Polyurethane foam”. “HEXA Polyether Polyol” is estimated to reduce the carbon footprint by 11% vs the virgin petrochemical polyol. As for the final product “Polyurethane foam”, it is estimated to reduce the carbon footprint by 5% for the stage 1 and 2. If stage 3 is included, it is estimated to reduce by 34%.
